The Information Button provides access to current version information of the installed Image Surfer Pro application as well as access to help information about how to make the best use of the application through a drop down menu.
This menu option causes Image Surfer Pro to connect to the Image Surfer Pro website and check our database to see if a newer version of software exists. If a newer version does exist you will be presented options of what release is available and how to get it. You may configure Image Surfer Pro to perform a daily automated check for upgrades in the User Preferences, but if you are running a free version of Image Surfer Pro and do not wish to get daily reminders there is a full version upgrade available, you may wish to turn the automatic daily check off and use this manual method from time to time to check for updates.

Are you curious about what is happening at Image Surfer Pro or need some tutorials and support? Come visit our website by choosing this option from the Information Menu.
This option will navigate the Internet Explorer display window to the Image Surfer Pro Overview page of this manual. You will always be taken to the user's manual for the version of software you are running wether or not a newer version is available. Because this user's manual is available online, it may receive updates or corrections from time to time so you may want to check for new information occasionally.
The Image Surfer Pro splash screen shows the installed version at the top of the window frame. A box at the top of the splash image will tell you if you are running the restricted Free Edition or the full Registered Edition and which version of the tool is active (32bit or 64bit). In most case the 32bit version will be active even on 64 bit computers - this is expected and not an issue, the tool is fully operational in both modes and unless you are referencing more than 4,294,967,295 files in a single fusker collection, the 32 bit version has no limitations. 64Bit versions of Internet Explorer using the 32 bit version of Image Surfer Pro still have access to your full system memory to display media content. Patent filing information is also provided.
Image Surfer Pro can open fusker collection files generated by the current version and any previous version, but it cannot read fusker collection files created by later versions.

General Tab: Check For Updates Daily
Enabling this configuration will allow Image Surfer Pro to check once each day to see if an
upgrade to your current installation is available. The date given in the configuraiton indicates
the last day an upgrade check was preformed.
There are no differences in the capabilities of the free and registered versions of Image Surfer Pro related to the Information Menu and upgrade facilities. The same technical and upgrade information is available to all users. Email from registered users is given a priority but all emails will be answered.
