Fusker Collection View Menu: Nudge End / Nudge Start Occasionally there are cases where you are unsure if a numeric fusk is including all of the files associated with a gallery. For example, this can happen if the "cover" image isn't directly referenced by the gallery page. In these cases you may use Modify to access the segment data, then use the Numeric Fusk Editor to change the start or end value of the segment's numeric fusk. Then you can display the expanded view of the result to see if the newly referenced images exist... In most cases you simply want to change either the start or end value of the fusk by 1 to see if an additional file exists... Nudging is the perfect solution to this rather involved process.

What Nudging Does

Nudging simply changes the start or end value of a numeric fusk by plus or minus 1 and displays the file which would be referenced by the new value.

Thus you can quickly determine if there is an additional file either before or after the current set referenced by the fusked segment.

The following table describes the effects of nudging on a numeric fusk:

Nudging Interfaces

There are two Fusker Collection View Menu entries for Nudging. One for the End Value and one for the Start Value of a numeric fusk. Each entry in the menu is a submenu where you can choose to nudge the associated value UP or DOWN. Up adds one to the value and DOWN subtracts one from the value.

You may alternatively use the shortcut key "+" to nudge the End Value up one or "-" to nudge the End Value down one.

If the selected segment is not already numerically fusked, the nudging menu options will be inactive and the "+/-" keys will have no effect.

You may nudge any numerically fusked segment. An Image Surfer Pro visualization page will be created to display just the newly referenced file. If a directory segment is nudged, the first file segment below the directory will be used along with the new directory segment text for the visualization page.

Differences in Free and Full Versions

Nudging is available in both the Free and Registered versions of Image Surfer Pro.
